Alaska 2004 -- Days 1-2
Day 1, Sunday May 30 ~ Enroute to Anchorage We left home in the morning and joined some of the participants at Newark airport. Others gathered at Logan airport. Some hours later the two groups joined at the Minneapolis airport. Then the long flight to Anchorage. As we descended there were some breaks in the clouds and we had a few nice views. We landed around 7:30pm and took taxis to the Westmark Hotel in town. It was in the 60s and pleasant. After a late supper everyone turned in. |
