September 14 - Cortina
It was cool and clear in the morning with just a bit of remaining snow on the mountains. We got up checked out and went to the bus stop in the square just below our room.

As the summer season is ending there aren't any direct buses to Cortina which is east of Corvara. Rather we first had to go north to Brunico, where at 10am it was 10C. There we changed buses to one for Toblach which is east of Brunico and then another to go south to Cortina. Unfortunately the bus from Brunico to Toblach was some 10 minutes late because of traffic and slow driving and we missed the connection. So we had to wait some 3 hours on a street corner in Toblach. We finally got to Cortina about 3.
