This year, as St. John is still recovering from two devastating hurricanes in September 2017, we instead went to the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the western Caribbean. The Caymans are due south of Miami and Cuba:
The Caymans consist of three islands: Grand Cayman, the largest and most populated, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman:
We spent the first week on Grand Cayman which has a population of about 52,000:
