Grand Case is a town and a bay on the northwest coast of French St. Martin where we stayed at Le Petit Hotel. This small hotel with just 10 rooms is right on the water near the south end of the Bay and was deservedly ranked #1 on a number of websites.

Closer to town: The town has one main street that parallels the beach and is just a few yards from it. Many of the restaurants on the water side of the street have balconies hanging over the beach.
The narrow main street is called Grand Case Boulevard. It is less than a mile long and in that mile there are some 60 restaurants. This street comes alive at night, with folks wandering and selecting a place for dinner. There are some 5-10 five star restaurants and most of them are within a one block section. We had some memorable meals here:
Several of the restaurants served Caribbean lobster and out front had tanks where one could make one’s choice:
Near the north end of the street was Lidi’s, an excellent place to stop for a dessert of ice cream or gelato:
